Moving through the darkness like a robot, my mind swirled with the consequences of this action. The garage remote I had found in my husband's car had found its way into my waiting hand. With the sight of the door rising revealing his car in her garage, my heart shattered.

She suspected, and now has proof, that her husband is "cheating" on her. That's why she is heartbroken. 💔

Oh no, this is pathetic. Seeing evidences in ones curiosity can be very heartbroken
Well I guess now she knows for sure and can get on with her life and ditch that cheater!
