Nigerian's Independence

Haha 😂, I laugh in independence!
Independence?
What independence actually?
I thought we gained freedom from the white man so that we will make our own heaven, so we can be totally free from the pain and hard labour they (slave masters) made us go through.
I thought when they say you are free, that includes having freedom to express ourselves, buy, and sell at cheap rate, but reverse is the case, see the prices of things, daily on the increase.
I thought when they say you are independent, it means you have the freedom to manufacture your own things and enjoy it, why then do we export crude oil in exchange for petroleum, that smells like dependency to me 🤦.
I thought when they say you are free or independence, it means you can now own your own farm land, cultivate it and enjoy it?
Why then do I have to forcefully share it with cows or I lose my life?
Am I really free, am I really independent?
A man at his 64th birthday or a man marking his 64th year of freedom should be giving testimonies or flaunting his achievements.
Well, this is the achievement I won't be ungrateful, at least I have the freedom to write this and be hated for it later or celebrated.
At list I don't have chains in my hands or some bridle to my mouth, simply because I tasted of my master's sugarcane, from the plantation I worked out with my sweat and blood.
At least I have a commensurate hope of getting employed without being discriminated because of my skin color.
Once again, happy independence Nigeria at 64.
