A Cat On A Roof 1.31.2025

I was walking and noticed this cat on a roof of an apartment. I would ask myself, how did it get there? Well, cats can jump, but can they jump two stories high? I doubt it. But it did get on the roof of a two story building.

I remember a song sung by James Taylor called, Up On A Roof. He wasn't the one that wrote that song, but I do like the way he sings it, Up On A Roof, that is.

Maybe the cat wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of regular cat life.

Now that we are talking about cat life, have you ever heard of someone leaving the door open and a cat walks in and makes itself at home?

I saw a Youtube video showing a man lying down on the couch and a cat is sleeping on his chest. A family member says that he doesn't own a cat. Well, did the cat just come in and started sleeping on the man, that was sleeping?

I do know a person that told me that he opened his front door and a cat walked in and never left. Well, he does enjoy his cat, that chose him.

I would wonder about tamed cats just coming into someone's house and just moves in and doesn't leave, and since it doesn't leave, I guess some people just go ahead and give it food and a water bowl and make some kind of bed for it.

I would think about this, tamed cats just walking into someone's home and making itself at home.

You know what I think?

I think that it's original owner died and when the door opens, that cat is free, but who is going to feed it?

Maybe the cat thinks since it's owner died, it has to find another family to take care and love it.

So the cat checks out the neighborhood and looks at people. Then the cat figures out who will be it's new owners, that will love and feed it.

Yes, it makes more sense to me that a tamed cat walks into your house, is because it used to walk into the house of its owner, it will walk into the house of it's new owner. Of course the would be new owners can just throw out the cat, but how many people can really just throw out a friendly cat?

After all the cat is hungry and your food supply is pretty high. So why not just adopt the new tamed cat.

And after you adopt and new tamed cat, it might just think about the hustle and bustle of every cat life, and go and get on top of a roof.

Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, A righteous regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked cruel. Proverbs 12:10.
