Well, that looks like a big rat, and this is my cat crushing the rats head as I hear her chewing on it's head.

I guess I feed my cat well as it did kill the rat, but did she eat the rat? No, she didn't, but that is ok, I just don't want dead rat bodies in my house.

So after I make sure the cat is finished chewing on the rat. I will take that rat and sweep it up into my dust pan and carry it outside and drop it on a plate, near my crawlspace enterance.

Well, I have skunks that live under my house and when I drop a dead rat body on the plate near the crawlspace entrance and when I do that, with in 20 to 30 minutes, that rat body will be gone. The skunks that live under my house will they go in and out by way of the crawlspace entrance.

I guess skunks will eat dead rats. I do remember sometime ago when one of my late mom's feral cats, died I buried it close to my late mom's mandarin tree. Well something dug a hole and started to eat that dead cat. I am sure it was one of the skunks that used to live under my late mom's house, of course at the time of this memory, my late mom was still alive.

My late mom also had skunks living under her house and they would get under her house by way of the crawlspace entrance.

So if skunks eat dead cats, why not eat dead rats?

My late mom used to only live about 6 blocks north of my house, so I would get to visit her a lot. Oh, I mentioned my late mom's feral cats, cause my mom used to feed them.

After my mom died, I was still feeding the feral cats for my mom, but I don't believe in feeding feral cats as there are a lot of rats and squirrels, but since mom started feeding the cats I fed the cats too, till I moved my brother out of that house that my late mom and brother used to live at, and moved my brother in to live with me with the help of family and friends.

Then I stopped feeding those cats. I kind of felt sorry for the cats, but I hear that a neighbor a couple of houses west of my mom's place, started feeding the younger feral cats.

Well, I do have feral cats that hang out in my front and back yards. No, I don't feed them, yet they look healthy and well fed. Well, they been eating rats, squirrels and lizards. There are lots of live cat foods in my yards and those big cats must be eating them up cause I don't feed them.

I do feed my own cat, which might be 13 or 14 years old by now. Well, she is getting old, but can still catch a rat and I am glad for that, cause I hate rats in the house. We have lots of rats in the area cause I live between two rivers, it is those river rats that use the telephone poles and travel the telephone lines that lead directly to peoples houses.

Have you ever seen a bottle of water with a hole chewed out of it? That might be the presence of a rat or mouse. So if there is a rat or rats in the house a case of water might be attacked by the rats.

I keep cases of water outside inside of used 55 gallon metal barrels and some of my barrels are 65 gallon metal barrels. Well, those metal barrels are rat proof. That is one way to keep the rats from your bottled water.

Yes, rats can be a problem and I do use rat traps too, but I would have to cat proof my rat traps, where the rats traps kill the rats, but will not harm my cat.

So my cat killed another rat, may she keep on hunting them down, God willing.

Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, with Jesus speaking, Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Matthew 6:26.
