I sometimes walk home from work in the evening and have come to discover how amazing the streets use to be. Walking down the street can be an amazing experience as every nook and corner hold something unique and enthralling.
Starting from the colorful lights seen on the streets, they're radiantly beautiful and can be seen from different buildings, light posts, signboards, vehicles and motorcycles. These colourful lights reflect on buildings and on people's faces too.
The sounds I hear in the street are something else. Sounds from vehicles passing to and fro, with their loud horns which could be deafening and annoying at times. I also hear the sound of loud music played from large booming speakers. The colours and sounds definitely add life to the surroundings and significantly beautify the dullest corners of the city.
Moreover, the shops and stalls I see along the street also hold some remarkable sight. The sites of boutique setup with brightly-coloured wears, regal looking ethnic dresses and various kinds of eye-catching accessories or the aroma of freshly prepared meals in the eatery or restaurants, the welcoming aroma of roasted meat and corn as I walked by is so enticing and the buzz of the colourful flowers in florist stores can make anyone stop in their tracks.
I also see people from various walks of life come together into the street each carrying his own story as they move about doing their businesses.
I see some people walking in a hurry to reach their destination, some strolling leisurely taking pleasure in their surroundings, some cycling while some waiting to get into the next available public transport.
The streets are also full of surprise element. One may come across the street vendors hawking a particular product of diverse interest or even bump into a longtime friend or colleague.
I can say for sure that the street is definitely a hub of events that never stops, it's constantly updating and evolving. Every time I step out, there must be something new and exciting happening around. The sites of the streets are true reflection of energy and creativity that people bring along. I also see the street as a melting pot of culture and the different fashion styles and skin colours are worth watching. Hence, the memories of the streets are a reminder to me to celebrate the world that we live in although the same street have it's shortcomings and negative sides; the street is still very beautiful and amazing.
