Those words from the Minister were all Eric dreamed of the past six months after he engaged his fiancee.
His wedding day has come and is about ending.
He is finally married to his dream wife, Lucy.
Lucy, an embodiment of the proverb woman. The woman after Eric's heat. Eric loved Lucy with every fiber of his being but Lucy on the other hand, had an ulterior motive.
To her, it was a contract marriage.
Sharon, Eric's ex girlfriend had put her up to it. She wanted to get back at Eric for not forgiving her when he caught her with another man. How absurd!
The plan was for Lucy to marry Eric then divorce him later suing him for half of his properties as he was very wealthy. Then the money will be shared 60/40
All Lucy had on her mind was to get a divorce whenever the time was right and get what she wants without being suspected. She played her part by feigning emotions but it didn't last.
Eric was too good. He cared and loved her just the way she wanted a man to love her.
She began having second thoughts on her contract with Eric's ex girlfriend. She has come to love him now and won't want to loose what they shared.
After their wedding, the newly wed couple lodged in their hotel room for a kickstart of their honeymoon. Then Lucy having fighting herself the whole day as she didn't want to start this marriage on lies, decided to be honest because Eric was a good man and didn't deserve what they were cooking for him.
She told him everything. Eric was upset and disappointed as expected but his love for Lucy overshadowed her atrocities. He forgave her, took her and lived their happy ever after.
As for Eric's ex girlfriend, bitterness is stucked with her as she only wishes bad on others
