Rainbows| AN ORIGINAL POEM

in Freewriters4 years ago

After the heavy rainfall
That humbled the mango trees
Growing in the yard
An endless arc
Of multiple colours
Ran across the white cassock
Of the indulgent heavens
Over the dinner table,
Grandma called it rainbow
And said it was a reminder
A tall reminder from God
That never with water would he
Destroy the humans on earth
But it doesn't matter
Whether or not
God keeps his promises
For men already have
Made many machines
That will destroy the world.

This really touched a part of my soul it's true the curiosity of man would definitely bring about our own distruction. A great piece friend

I'm glad that you appreciate the poem. Thanks.
