They can and have done it to people who did not want to sell.
They told us it was to build a road and it has been 16 years and they have not built the road but they tore my house down because it was close to the high school and kids were vandalizing it.
They ended up paying over 200K and now have a vacant lot worth 15 to 20K and I do not feel one bit sorry for them.
