Interesting! I've talked to a couple of people who have had imaginary friends and have also said they could see them. Out of curiosity, do you remember actually making the imaginary friend? The process of creating a tulpa is long and deliberate, I'm curious how that compares with children and imaginary friends.
I could see it going a lot easier for them. Children aren't as bogged down by their understanding of reality as adults are. Where an adult might have to mold their mind into truly believing what they are attempting is possible a child would probably have a big leg up there.
That said I imagine there would still be a process, a point at which the friend was just an idea, the point at which it was first seen or heard, when it first did an action that wasn't just puppetry.
The linking to spirits is also interesting, especially if imaginary friends just tend to pop into existence. I'm not convinced that things like that exist, but have heard experiences from others, and some of my own that make me question.
At the very least, I do not think that everything that exists in the universe can be measured and tested, at least not yet.
Appreciate the reblog and upvote by the way! Glad you enjoyed the article, I hope to have many more to come in this series.
I just remember having someone to talk to but my parents always telling me they see nothing. They even tried to get me an albularyo I don't know what's the english of it sorry. And the albularyo said that there's someone always wirh me, I don't believe in them but everytime I remember that it makes me creeps out
Interesting, thank you for sharing your experience. I've never heard from someone who did remember the process which is super interesting to me. It wouldn't surprise me if the process of creating one was easily forgotten, but for so many to have not remembered makes me think it's likely that they did just pop into existence one day. Which is even more strange to me
