This is something I wrote the other day after a conversation I had with a friend of mine. He's very politically minded to the point of holding extreme views. Our discussions always get heated, and this is a result of that I suppose.

Yes I ended it with a meme, lol I don't know why.

Anyway I don't write poetry much, this is probably a good example as to why.

Also I am writing a fully fleshed out story for #Freewriters based off of the Rucksack prompt I did a month ago. My writing style is exhausting... I need to figure out a new method.

Political fool
Political fool
Nothing but a propaganda tool
Political fools
Political fools
Independent thoughts
are against the rules
Why so rude?
Whoa, calm down, dude
Whoops, I'm sorry
I guess I killed the mood
So your political might
Is politically right?
Did you really just say that
You fight the good fight?
Do you honestly think that
Your actions are just?
And with a punch to the head
You can gain someone's trust?
To throw a brick through a window
To burn a store to the ground
To take a job, or a life
Will make us come 'round?
Why do you make me do this
I hate to see you cry
It's like you're fighting to see
the whole world die

I have more or less retired from politics and political discussions. I have even dropped a couple of views along the way.

These days silence is what meets anyone who sprouts extremist ideologies in front of me. No need arguing with a fool
