It's harder than it looks! I've written a number of them. I love the meaning to drop into the reader's mind on the last word. Yours did that for me, but what happened instead of meaning dropping is was that it dropped me off a cliff into the meaning of life! Very rich story, simply and tidily told. Love it, I really do.
