Like you I didn't like to study english either, I thought it was going to be just one summer, not years, I started at 8 and ended at 12, I'm a spanish speaker native too. What helped me a lot were the chats in english and songs, I listened to music while reading the lyrics and it helped me a lot with the pronunciation and spelling.

I always listen to rap music but a couple of months ago I started to change the genre a little and try to "sing" the lyrics haha the same as I do with movies (without singing). Chatting on discord helps a lot too, I like it but I'm still trying to defend myself on voice chats haha.
