Traveling Against the Wind. A Sailing and Travel poem ⛵

in Freewriters3 months ago

The wind it howls, fierce and strong,
A force that pushes all along.
But I set out, with will of steel,
To journey forth, despite its zeal.

The path ahead is long and steep,
With gusts that rise from oceans deep.
Each step is hard, each breath a fight,
But I press on through day and night.

The wind it whispers in my ear,
"Turn back now, there’s nothing here."
But I stand firm, my course is set,
With no regrets, with no regret.

The trees bend low, the leaves they flee,
Yet I move forward, wild and free.
Against the gale, against the storm,
My spirit fierce, my heart still warm.

For in the struggle, strength is found,
In every challenge, I am bound.
To forge ahead, to never yield,
To find the courage that I wield.

The wind may push, the wind may shove,
But I find peace in skies above.
For every step against the flow,
Is a step towards where I must go.

And when at last I reach the crest,
I stand in triumph, I’ve passed the test.
The wind behind, the journey done,
I’ve traveled far, I’ve seen the sun.

For traveling against the wind is more,
Than just a battle, than just a chore.
It’s finding strength in every stride,
And knowing that, with every tide,

I can face whatever comes my way,
For I am strong, come what may.
The wind may howl, but I will rise,
And find my place beneath the skies.

🐬🐬🐬Donate to the Dolphin Project 🐬🐬🐬https://www.dolphinproject.com/donate/
Dolphin Project is a non-profit charitable organization, dedicated to the welfare and protection of dolphins worldwide. Founded by Richard (Ric) O’Barry on Earth Day, April 22, 1970, the organization aims to educate the public about captivity and, where feasible, retire and/or release captive dolphins.
The mission of Dolphin Project is to end dolphin exploitation and slaughter, as dolphins are routinely captured, harassed, slaughtered and sold into captivity around the world – all in the name of profit. Dolphin Project works not only to halt these slaughters, but also to rehabilitate captive dolphins for retirement and/or release, investigate and advocate for economic alternatives to dolphin slaughter, and to put a permanent end to dolphin captivity.

Port Sundries is not affiliated with Dolphin Project but supports their goal 100%.
