it is actually a technique used Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, whenever you are feeling stressed , angry, unhappy etc, repeat what you are thinking, saying multiple times in different voices and eventually it all seems quite absurd :0

Very interesting! I hadn't heard of DBT before, so I checked it out on Google. Ever since childhood I've been aware of how a word can suddenly sound completely absurd if repeated multiple times, but I'd never realized that it could have a therapeutic value. Thanks for that.
