Failures

Hola Hivers,

Hoping everyone is very well and doing well in life. Recently, I have been through a very positive change in life so I thought of sharing the experience here with you. The pure intention of writing this article is to explain how you can make some beautiful changes in your life just by adding some other changes.

So here I was busy with all the business work that I usually have and a sudden shudder on my shoulder bought me out of my bubble. It was my friend who I met after 10 years of a long wait. I was gob smacked and the happiest person on earth. We had discussed this meeting many a time now and we were so tired of doing that recently that we stopped doing that so. It was like when she was home, I was working in corporate and when I came home she went to her corporate job, so we basically could not meet.

But her surprise really moved me, the best part was that she had bought cookies from my favorite bakery and to add a cherry to the cake I ordered coffee. We talked and talked and talked. You know how girls are, and when they meet their long-lost friend then there is a lot to talk about. Life, Work, Relations, Career. She was inquisitive about several matters and so was I.

She asked me why I left my corporate job and joined my father's business which didn’t have much left when I took over and if wasn’t I scared of doing something off the mainstream. I told her how my father fell severely ill and how bravely he is fighting his chronic and terminal disorder, how he is braver than I am.

She alleged me of ignoring her question and the curiosity with which she came to meet me. Defending the allegations that were put against me I smiled and replied “See, life gives you opportunities you just have to grab them and move.” I could see the utter disappointment on her face at my answer.

I giggled and continued “Look, I came here because I had to, I had no choice but to come back to the place where I belonged. It took me some time to figure out what I should do here as the opportunities are limited. When life puts you in some sort of situation it must not be positive all the time. It might not always lead you forward.”

I paused and started again “It’s ok to take a break from the routine things we do and wait for a few moments and realize the actual purpose of life. I realized that change is the only constant, and if we don’t start accepting it we will be the only ones who didn’t move forward with time. Life gives you chances whether large or small we have to grab them. Once missed can never be achieved again and it’s always better to fail rather than regret lost chances”
