Sitting on a green tree branch, That bird sings. Sunshine mate, Jhoom rains call him.
In the early morning light, Wandering around looking for soil. The fan glitters in the golden sun, Searching for the mind by playing.
The sparkle in her eyes, the smile in her soul, But he is small, ordinary. Not a colorful bird, Still, the fascination spreads.
From the mountain to the river's edge, You will find him. Shalik bird, you know, To spread happiness in the gap of the mind.
Shalik, you are the epitome of Maya, Seeing you is full of life. It's sweet to hear your song, You are the gift of nature.
সবুজ গাছের ডালে বসে,
গায় গান সেই শালিক পাখি।
রোদ মাখা দিন তার সাথী,
ঝুম বৃষ্টি দেয় তাকে ডাকি।
সকালবেলা ভোরের আলোয়,
ঘুরে বেড়ায় মাটির খোঁজে।
সোনালি রোদে ঝলমল পাখা,
খেলা করে মনের খোঁজে।
চোখে তার দীপ্তি, প্রাণে হাসি,
তবু তো ছোট্ট, সাধারণ সে।
নয় কোনো রঙিন পাখি,
তবু মুগ্ধতা ছড়ায় বেশ।
পাহাড় থেকে নদীর কিনারে,
তুমি খুঁজে পাবে তাকে।
শালিক পাখি, তুমি যে জানো,
খুশি ছড়াতে মনের ফাঁকে।
শালিক, তুমি মায়ার প্রতীক,
তোমায় দেখে ভরে প্রাণ।
তোমার গান শুনে মিষ্টি লাগে,
তুমি যে প্রকৃতিরই দান।
