A man goes to the doctor. He tells him that he is depressed. He tells him that life seems hard and cruel. He says he feels very lonely in this world full of threats where what awaits us is vague and uncertain. The doctor replies: "The treatment is simple, the great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight, go and see him, it will cheer you up". The man bursts into tears and says: "But, doctor... I am Pagliacci".

I'll list three that I have used:
