So, isn't writing a work of art, or isn't it at all?

Hi, writer friend! Come on share!

So, I just learned to write, I joined the art community, they have a lot of passion in their respective fields. Some of them are photography, drawing, graphic design, sculpture, painting, and handicrafts. One community with millions of tastes, shows that art is broad.

I am personally not a good writer, or journalist with a lot of experience. However, from all the arts that I work in, namely photography, graphic design and videography / cinematography, I prefer writing as my main art.

I then studied with one of the seniors. My seniors say that writing is not part of their artistic criteria. Because for them, writing is not a real work.

I just kept quiet, and chose to be independent to pursue my hobbies, interests, and abilities, which actually got a lot of appreciation from many people. Then join the community of pure writers. Yes, all writers are here.

So, according to my friends, is writing part of the art or not?

In my opinion, writing is an art, let alone writing has tangible results, and so on. Just choose the genre and the type of writing. Starting from pure literature to adaptations. Starting from a sheet of paper to a thick book.

If seen in real terms, speaking is not artistic, but think carefully, can speaking without a strategy make it easier for us to achieve our communication goals? Results are not immediately visible, but results will be seen when communication objectives have been achieved.

How about writing? What distinguishes writing from drawings, paintings, photographs, crafts, etc.? Writing is not just a thought or two, it also requires inspiration and creative ideas. But, just for creative words, life is also art. Because life has to be creative, if you are not creative, you will not live. That's what I thought.

So it is enough to end my first writing, this is just an introduction, and hopefully I get support and guidance from the seniors here. Thank you, see you later.

Exactly. Anything that requires creativity is art. All writing is art, be it poetry, essay, or technical writing. Is a haiku different from a painting? The tools are different, but the product is the same: art! Life is art

Thanks for your support, I'm proud to hear that!
Hopefully for other writers there will be more and more and develop a variety of knowledge in their writings, I hope that.
And, thanks for supporting my writing.

@shin-hana You're welcome. I like your writing—you have a nice style and your English is excellent. Keep up the great work!
