Acehnese martabak

Martabak Aceh is an Acehnese food made in the shape of martabak. At first glance, this food looks similar to a regular omelet. The making is slightly different from the usual egg martabak, because the beaten egg wraps the martabak skin.
Making martabak begins with frying the martabak skin first and forming it into a square, similar to making roti canai. Then the martabak skin is smeared with beaten egg that has been mixed with chopped shallots and spring onions. The next stage, the martabak skin is fried like making an omelette, with the martabak skin in the form of the rectangular roti canai as the core. As a complement to the taste, Acehnese martabak is served with pickled onions and cayenne pepper.

Acehnese martabak is quite famous outside Aceh, even outside the Aceh region, this martabak is modified by using curry-seasoned meat curry.
