At some point in every writer’s life, they will come face to face with the dreaded writer’s block. It’s that moment when you sit down at your computer (or notebook, or whatever writing tool you use), ready to write… and then nothing comes out.

I was in this dilemma some days ago. I had no idea of what to write whatsoever. My mind has been plagued with so many distractions and I've been quite overwhelmed with some situations in my life.

Writer’s block is a frustrating phenomenon, but it doesn’t have to be the end of your writing career. In this post, I'll be talking about the causes of writer’s block and offer some tips on how to overcome it.


What is writer's block?

Writer's block is a condition, usually temporary, in which a writer loses the ability to produce new work or experiences a creative drought. There are many possible causes for writer's block, including stress, anxiety, burnout, and tiredness.
