This happened two decades ago when I was in the 5th grade.
I don't exactly remember which day but school time was almost over and usually once in a month a group discussion was done for 5th graders to improve communication skills and so on.
So this one time the topic was about 'gender', yeah obviously a very stupid topic to debate or discuss about. God knows what the teacher who suggested that was thinking.
Anyway many interesting points emerged from the boys and the girls side talking about how people from each gender contributed to the progress in the field of science and politics. 10 minutes in, one of the smart girls talks about a point where without females no babies could be born on Earth. Yeah I mean we were 10-12 years old and had innocent minds. Now to counter this statement one of the boys replied in savage mode this "for the process of reproduction a male is needed". No kidding, that was what he replied word to word and with confidence too. I remember it so strongly because it made no sense to me at the time and I was trying ask my close friends what it meant. All of them had no idea but well later I found out why.
I do remember that the teachers were in shock and looking to each other, clearly regretting the decision to bring this topic to the group discussion that day.

amusing story! I used to teach preschool some years back, and even then, the children were already role playing like they were adults 🤣😂 nowadays young people mature faster. I suppose educators also need to keep up with the times. 😉👍🏼
