"So, what would you call yourself a teetotaler or a drunkard? Anyways, how many drinks did you have?" asked Kim.
"Did't have a count, after all it was a party!" replied Tuner as she struggled with the headache.
"Anyways, I have always been in favor of a simple festivity. And just taking part in such celebrations does not mean you are the boss!... And what about your individual existence? Have you ever thought about it?" reprimanded Kim as she took the cup of tea from the table.
"Oh! why do I need to bother. I will get the next contract from Keith's friend. He has a big project in hand and I will do the interiors", said Tuner shrugging her shoulders.
"What are you if not a parasite with your husband's money? Just boasting around because of a man beside you? What is your own power? What is your own individual identity?... Let me tell you...nothing... yeah that is the truth. !" Kim was unforgiving in her temper.
"How do you say?" Tuner almost screamed then composed herself and continued, "...Yeah, that is why I married an influential man. Else why would I marry this ugly and fat journalist. I am earning, have a career because of Keith else I would be nowhere in life," admitted Tuner looking at her brightly painted nails.
"With no merit, you are being treated well just because of someone else! When will you talk about yourself and your achievements without your husband's role in it?... And let me tell you the last project you were working on is being renovated!" said Kim with a frown on her face.
Kim handed the glass of lime to Kim and Tuner gulped the juice.
"Oh, it is bitter... but yeah, I heard that my design was being restyled." said Tuner taking out some tablets from her purse.
The waiter came to the table and Kim placed the order for fruit punch and Hakka noodles. The catchy music played in the restaurant and Kim adjusted her wrist watch.
