Once upon a time in a land far away,
There lived a rabbit, elegant and gray,
With a coat so soft and eyes so bright
He was the envy of all in sight.
But what set him apart, was not his looks,
For the rabbit had a secret, hidden in the books,
He was a royal, descended from kings,
And the palace was where he learned all things.
For years he trained, in the art of the court,
Learning manners and etiquette of every sort,
Until the day he was deemed fit,
To serve his queen, with all his wit.
And so he journeyed to the palace grand,
Proudly carrying his title and his brand,
And when he arrived to his delight,
He saw the queen, so wise and bright.
The rabbit served her with all his might,
Attending to her every need, day and night,
And soon he became the queen’s favorite,
For his loyalty and dedication were innate,
But one day, a thief broke into the palace gates,
And stole the crown, sealing his own fate,
For the royal rabbit, with his quick mind,
Discovered the thief’s trail, and followed behind.
Through forests and rivers, and mountains so high,
The rabbit chases the thief, with a watchful eye,
And when he finally caught up, he didn’t fight,
But offered the thief a deal, that was just and right.
“You may keep the crown if you return with me,
And swear to the queen, your loyalty,
For she is kind and just, and will forgive,
If you repent, and with a new leaf, you live.”
The thief was moved by the rabbit’s words,
And agreed to return, without any swords,
And when they arrived, to the queen’s surprise,
The thief fell to his knees, with tears in his eyes.
He confessed his crime, and begged for mercy,
And the queen, touched by the rabbit’s bravery,
Granted the thief a second chance,
And made him a loyal subject, in her expanse.
From that day on, the royal rabbit was renowned,
As the hero who brought a thief to be crowned,
And he continued to serve his queen, with all his heart,
Knowing that his duty, was a noble art.
Such an awesome story with precise rhyming. I love the poetic rabbit for his tremendous act of goodness to the royal household.
Thank you @ehwongo... Yea, the rabbit exhibited an attitude worthy of emulation.
