A Technique from the Holy Spirit to Counter Intrusive Thoughts

in Freewriters2 days ago

The next time you find yourself battling diabolical thoughts, take a pen and a piece of paper—then twist the narrative. Write down ten ways in which the situation, challenge, or so-called "problem" (though in truth, there are no problems) is actually serving you.

Do not analyze or rationalize—just write.

Begin your sentences with affirmations like:
"I’m grateful," "I love," "I see," "I receive," "I believe," "I speak," or "I am."

For example:

⦁ I’m grateful that this situation is offering me invaluable insights and lessons I am about to receive.

⦁ I love the opportunities that will emerge from this.

⦁ I see God orchestrating something marvelous on my behalf.

⦁ I am receiving something extraordinary, beyond what my analytical mind could have anticipated.

⦁ I believe that good will come from this.

⦁ I understand that I am divine—God’s child, the Son of the Most High—and that the external world is merely a reflection of my past beliefs, attitudes, and energies.

⦁ I’m grateful for this day and the blessings Yahweh has sent my way.

⦁ Thank you, Holy Spirit, for entrusting me with this challenge and the opportunity it holds.

Your life will shift if you apply this technique! Just trust me on this, ok?

Edit: You may need to repeat this practice several times a day. The moment you sense even the slightest dip in energy or joy, take it as a sign—it’s time to write!

Another powerful form of affirmation begins with "I allow."

⦁ I allow God to guide me through this.

⦁ I allow myself to endure this and witness what lies on the other side.

⦁ I allow my mind to lead me to my highest good—right now.
