This is a very touching post. Having walked through the barren land of a broken heart on a few occasions and each time erected higher and higher walls to prevent interlopers. It is a deep journey through the vacuum of brokenness and finding what you love about life and yourself is a good beginning. If they moved on, for whatever reason, they weren't meant to stay. Take care. I love the raw honesty of the piece.
I did find love finally and late (54) but lessons came along the way.
