Hi xrayman. The car is a Renault Dauphine Gordini. It looks to be one of the 1964 cars with the uprated 1093cc air cooled engine. They were not fast at around 140km/h but compared to the standard model which had only 30hp and a top speed of 126km/h it was quite the sporty version.
I've just googled the model of he car, and I just read some great content about it.
I found the Interlagos 50.000km challenge old video 😅, and about the accident that occurred in the eight day that in the 3rd curved the car entered very fast and flipes crashing the wood, and windshields. But the mechanical part remained untouched, and the pilots continue the race, by wearing helmets with visor! Impressive, right?
And they gained the challenge at the 22nd day and gaining the epithet "Teimoso" (Portuguese word for "Stubborn" (that was written in the back of the car, that gave the motto the 1965's version.
Impressive story from the purpose of this car, to make a difference in the automotor world to the WV Beetle and the Renault 4cv (since it had also the engine placed in the back part of the vehicle).
