The year 2012 has been filled with drama. Because of how I feel about things, I almost composed three poems (Siday) in waray dialect, and this one, was written in English. I had no idea what had happened until about the 1st of February 2012. But, in any case, I'd like to share this poetry with you.
I was used to being alone,
Always left out by the person I cared so much and have known.
My life was empty, it was cold,
No one even bothered to hug me and hold.
Then suddenly you walked right into my door,
Giving me the chill I had never felt before.
It was so confusing, so unbelievable,
The feeling's a bit different, it's irreplaceable.
I want to open up and set my heart free,
Tell the whole world I still care for somebody.
Let everyone know someone moved and changed me,
This is now for real not anymore a fantasy.
I am back to my old self again,
Laughing my heart out, dancing in the rain.
It was you who brought back everything,
From the simple joy of little things to the craziness can ever bring.
There is one thing I want to ask from you,
Could you please stay for awhile and hold me too?
I just want to feel that you're beside me,
And I'll be okay you'll see.
Hope everything between us will not change,
Coz I'll be lonely if something in you would fade.
Let me say thank you for making me smile,
My days are brighter and more worthwhile. 💜
