sometimes you are, like a gentle whisper,
in the echo of a memory,
where your laughter, in a sketch,
draw shadows in the half-light,
and leave their light in me.
Your smile, delicate stroke,
a breeze that caresses the soul,
leaves in me your pleasant essence,
fragrance of dreams and calm,
that runs through my thoughts,
as the river kisses the earth in its path.
You are a detail, an instant
that slips through my fingers,
a melody that persists,
a heartbeat that never dies,
and in solitude I find you,
salvation of my eternal longing.
