Who are you, that from my illusions you are born,
a shadow that dances in the moonlight,
you peek into my dreams, like a bold echo,
and your eyes follow me, until I get lost in the night.
What are you looking for? if there's nothing left of what I could once
that one day I could touch with a swollen soul,
silence in the wind, old promises,
they melt into whispers, like sand in life.
You are a mirage, in a sea of memories,
a sigh that peeps in the mist of time,
a river of longing that breaks the waters,
and in your empty arms, I find my reflection.
your eyes are beacons of the love I lost,
and the night traps me in its dark chain.
Who are you? an enigma, a forgotten rhyme,
I search for you in the shadows, lost in my being,
you are that sparkle that illuminates me,
but at the same time, what I cannot have.
