I was wrong

Source

I was wrong, you didn't react,
just as I expected silence.
It's true, I dreamt it with longing,
but I also forgot the dream I dreamt.

I looked for you in mirrors,
in distorted reflections,
and found, in shadows,
our forgotten moments.

I was wrong, I know,
expectations are mirages,
but in the echo of your eyes
I still keep the bittersweet rhythms.

I was wrong, and there is no lament,
only the echo of a sigh,
that in the four dice plays
a story that I still can't guess.
