At one point

On a yellowed napkin
Looked at me
And said
The difference
Between you and me
Is that I stand here
At the apex
Of this triangle
Looking out
Toward infinity
My whole future
Spreading before me
While you stand here
On this plane
Looking backward
Your whole life
Narrowing
To this one point
And disappearing
