RE: Why is it so hot? Ohhhhh, now I remember...

Ohhhh, I get it! Thanks for clearing that up for me, @iskafan.

Just wait to I write the post I have stored in my head about jealousy (I'll probably write it in early Feb). I think you'll really like it and it could be really useful too (as you manifest amazing romance in your lives 😊).

So, I get it. I get it. I spent sooooo long single and in sometimes boring, sometimes abusive relationships, so I really, really get that this would feel oppressive (the way you use the word here).

In English, at least in Australia, we call it "showing off" and it is very much discouraged! "Flaunting" is also frowned upon!

But I try and hang out with people who celebrate my successes instead of feeling intimated or jealous of it. But if they can say, as you are, some version of "OMG, I'm jealous of that thing you have that I want" as deraaa did, in a playful way then there's no problem. It's just friends poking at each other playfully 😂😍🤗

BTW, Iska, do you want corrections to your English? I'm trying to remember if we've talked about that before? Most non-native speakers want to improve their English but they take it personally to receive corrections... so, asking for a friend 😂😂😂

I totally get the strife in friendships! I have experienced it had to make the decision to extract myself from their circle! I understand wanting to really enjoy what you have when you have spent so much time missing it.

Iskafan explained the term better than I ever could! Haha
