Here I stand before thee all.
Full of imperfections and flaws.
Never was I born for brawls.
Nor was I to appease you all.
Oh! How suffocating they are.
Being rude and commands us all not be rude.
How crude thou can be.
Oh! These societal laws.
Some predefined laws they are.
Victimizing the ones it was written for,
Bruising the one who writes to be free,
Binding us tight with brutal ropes till we bleed.
Keep it down and don't show your guts.
Else you will be accused and arraigned
Oh my God! How they drive me to nuts!
Oh! These societal laws.
Some lose their wealth,
Some lose their health,
Some lose their sanity,
Just to fit in the quote of "What they'd say".
-But sadly never have anyone found their bay.
When will this haze go away?
The haze of ideology.
The fog of obsolete laws.*
OH! THESE SOCIETAL LAWS...*
The societal laws of every society are made to make things easy for the citizens of that society. Unfortunately, these laws tend to make things difficult for them. This is currently the situation of Nigeria as a country. The laws are in favour of the rich while the poor masses are thrown into pains. What a pity! What a law!

These laws were made irrespective of how difficult they might be, and the lawmakers do not care, just because they won't be affected by them. Who will rescue us?
Nigerians now tend to find themselves in the position of "what will they say", and this has in a way influenced our decision-making. Societal laws restriction has eaten so deep into our lives that we have no choice but to be confined by it.
Sadly, the poor no more have a place or a say in the society because they are being oppressed with these laws.
Society laws they call it, yet those who make these laws break them time and time again. The so-called law once made for everyone is now below the rich and only above the poor.

True, we are quite unaware of when will it all stop. But surely we can create awareness of it so much that it is too visible to be unnoticed. Maybe there lies hope somewhere.

Exactly we just can't complain about these laws because they are all looking for scape goats. This society laws we can't change or complain, the last line sums it all. "May God Help Us"
Just look at what happened at lekki toll gate last year... People were killed because they were protesting against such laws... It was their right but sadly they were denied of these rights... It's well
