Nailed on the cross
An atonement for our sins
Divine in mortal body
A humility that no man bears
He endured the pain
Lead to his point of death
But his joy rested on our salvation
A sacrifice paid on Calvary tree
Though mighty, yet meek
For our causd he took the pain and Shame
Endured the suffering, all for our sake
Our savior, a freedom from slavery
What a love so rare, so dear
He took upon himself to bear, that we'd be free
From the shackles of life's entanglement
He gave it all, for our save
A love so rare, so dear
He paid the price
He conquered death
He set the captive free, now we are free
What a love so dear and rare.
This kind of love is beyond human understanding. No mortal man could have agreed to pay this price and set us free, except He that was made flesh by the power of the Holy Spirit.
He was the only one who could have done it because He understood how weak we were. He did it and became victorious.
Now we rejoice because we owe no debt again.
That's true, a great sacrifice for humanity
