Destined?

I always think
of many words
So many
'til our parts crossed
And even when you smiled
I didn't know
how to smile back
I didn't see the sparks
flying
I didn't know
if it could be the dawn
Of a brand new day

I didn't believe
in destiny
Only a fractured
fantasy
Of bits and pieces left
From yesterday's battered heart
But in your eyes,
a glimpse of destiny
In one kiss
love was sown
As seeds
across starry skies

When your heart
gazed on mine
I lingered on destiny
And believed perhaps
a grand design
Wildly swept me off my feet
I heard
in your tiniest whispers
"Let's make our story beautiful"
Could you truly be
my yearning heart's fate?

Oh how I wish I knew!

I wish to accept
That the stars
fought for us to be
From lifetimes so many
I still want to feel
deep in my soul
That a force unseen
from ages past
Had brought together,
two longing hearts
Who are surely destined to be
I wish I was truly sure!
