When I was a little girl running around
I Played on this beautiful green planet
Dancing in the rain naked
What did I care?
Swimming, as fresh waters run
Quietly and calmly over my skin
I plucked the plum, ripe and sweet
I ate from the good of the land
Sifting the sand with my little hands
I built castles and grand empires
From a distant view I could see
The night Skies burn ever so bright
The Earth cries
Mother Nature sobs in spasms
Where does it hurt?
My heart! It says!
Even my pulse grows so thin
And I yearn for nothing but rest
Empty river beds
Where once there were great hauls
Empty rain forests
Where once there was lushness
Would you watch me die so empty
Or will you restore what once had been?
Sick and in need of a cure
Because the Oceans run dry
The Ozone layer depletes
The soil lies in utter waste
The air reek of pollutants
The Earth Cries
In total helplessness...
Can't you hear its silent moans
You will, when the Skies shed its tears
Its rain
With so much pain
