Taxi

I can say that I used to paint cars, but I made a mistake, and the economic downturn coupled with the breakdown of expensive machinery left me jobless. A friend passed by and said, "I'm a taxi driver, so let me tell you, you need to get a professional license." So, I set out to learn the streets because it's a requirement for the license.

After all the regulations, another friend told me, "One day you submit the paperwork, another day you take the exam, and another day you get the license." So, I went through this process.

How did this journey affect you, and what lessons did you learn?

I entered the office where everyone was, and there were 30 minutes on the paper; I couldn't see it because of nerves. So, I started taking notes on the paper, and I didn't know many because that day they told me I could complete the process on the same day. That's how it ended; I submitted it, and they announced who passed and who failed, but it wasn't my turn yet. Then they called me and said, "I hope you pass, but correct what you did wrong on the ones you missed." I thought, "It's strange that they're giving me another chance; nobody else gets that."

So, I corrected it and came out. After a while, they continued calling others, passed and failed, and they called me again, "Correct it, there were 3 options, I had missed 2, and the third one remained." So, I marked the third one, and they approved me with 86 points instead of 100. Even then, I couldn't believe it... It was incredible what happened to me, very strange. That's how I got my professional license... I didn't tell anyone.

Share the challenges you faced during this period.

Well, from a disaster, a girl tells me a street name, and I drive there. She asks, "Where are you going?" and it was the same name on the other side of the city. She says, "Roll down the window."

I talk on the phone while driving; it was 3 in the afternoon, but if I imagine the worst, I took her, she paid, and that was it. Later, I took another girl from the nightclub to her home in a beautiful forest. While searching in the door pocket, I pulled out deodorant and put it on the passenger seat. The girl started screaming, "I'm being poisoned!" She got out yelling, paid me, and got into another taxi, then later reported me on all social media. So, these things happen, suggestion, and fear.

Later, a young half-naked girl, asleep, needed to go to a very distant neighborhood. I took her, woke her up, and dropped her off at her house. So, there's everything on the streets, especially at night.

How would your life be different if not for that incident?

Life would already be different because that place is very tough. So, it's better not to work in that field anymore, as there are many bad and dangerous things. I was almost killed, robbed many times. So, it's better to forget it and say goodbye.
