Welcome to the BCP Weekly Prompt!

This is the first of the weekly prompts forthcoming, that will hopefully give us all a common direction as a community on Hive. Whether this turns into something more remains to be seen, as it's up to @moeknows and @dbooster as to how things progress.

Anyhow.. let's get to the meat and potatoes of why I'm here writing this post.. the prompt! 😄

I figured we might as well start off with a bang and really get the creative juices flowing. I read a great deal of the BCP posts, and a majority as of late is all about love and the awesome part of that topic. However, we are here to shake things up lol. Let's get it!

Since a great deal of poetry, and writing in general deals with love, let us focus upon the not so happy aspects of love.

The prompt is: The Breakup 😩

I am quite sure that most of you have gone through the hardship of a breakup, whether it be a divorce, or breaking with a girlfriend or boyfriend and etc. It's not easy going through such a tough time.

There are so many emotions that we feel when going through a breakup. I want you to give us the good, the bad and the ugly of your breakups.. and dig down deep into your emotions. Really let the paper(keyboard) have it, treat it like an ex! 😆

What did your ex-partner do to you that drove you crazy? Did they lie to you, cheat on you, steal from you? Did they consummate an affair in your shared bed? Did your significant other do the breaking up, or did you? Did you get depressed after, or was it a good thing that your breakup happened?

There are a boatload of reasons why breakups happen.

Let your keyboard or quill, pen or pencil.. crayon.. or whatever you like to express yourself with, do the talking. Put down some killer lines of poetry, and share your awesome works with the community and the world.

We are looking forward to reading what you write. You all have the talent, without question. It's time to rip off that band-aid and tell us all about that breakup.
