On that glorious night
I was bewitched by
pouting puffy lips and
big bulging bulbous eyes
blinking in my direction
perhaps
deep in my imaginary hope
my eyes glitty and glaring
at that spell binding night sky
gleaning the essence of the sun
waxing in its silvery gleam
almost full with joy
flooding this unlit room
through this dusty window
to the pits of this heart.
