Lukasz Korbanski #4 - Memory Lane

Memory Lane

Memory Lane.png

Took a walk down memory lane last night. I think it's time
for me to pack my bags and leave this town, or at least try.
Teenage dreams and a love outdated haunt a man for life.
How am I to become straight and one day find a wife?
E'en the man inside the mirror that I gaze into is dying.
Growing old is but a blessing, unless the bible's lying.
I'm all in for Christ Jesus, but I have to heal.
Pain is nothing but a tool used by God to reveal
to us our fallen nature, how I fell in love with you.
Took a walk down memory lane last night, feeling blue.

I liked your verses, pure expression of the soul in feelings of love and life stationed in times of feverish years and twilight centuries.

Thanks for sharing.
Good day.

Beautiful poem, although it is a bit sad but it is part of life, there are always places that remind us of those people who have left a deep mark on our being, thanks for sharing ♥

Our life, a journey which is unpredictable and mysterious, sometimes we question our own beliefs.
