Monsters for Halloween

There's something in the dark
That loves to feast on human flesh
Blood stains its claws and teeth
And it stalks the night, looking for prey
It's a monster, and it's alive
And it kills for pleasure
And it will always be waiting

There are monsters in the world
Things that go bump in the night
Things that crawl and slither
Things with sharp teeth and claws
They come out when it's dark
And they want to eat you alive
We all know what happens when you're caught in their light
You become one of those monsters

In the dark,
with teeth bared,
it hunts.
It follows someone
in the shadows
and it never stops.

Someone's running,
lights are flashing,
but they can't outrun
the thing that's after them.
It's getting close,
its eyes glowing in the dark,
and soon they'll be caught.
They know they're in trouble,
but they can't seem to shake it.
The creature is gaining on them,
its footsteps echoing through the night.

This creature lurks in the dark
Chasing someone who is running and scared
Running for their life, but they know they cannot hide
The creature is gaining on them, it's getting closer
They can hear its footsteps pounding the floor
And they know that there's nothing they can do
To escape from this creature that haunts them night and day

I can't scream, I'm paralyzed with fear
As the monster grabs me in the darkness of the night
It's cold and slimy, and I can hear it breathing
And I know that it's coming for me
I wish that I could run, but I'm paralyzed with fear
And there's nothing that I can do to escape

In the dark of the night
I hear a monstrous sound
A creature that I know well
It's coming for me
And I can't run away
It's coming to grab me
In the darkness of the night

It's cold and slimy, and I can hear it breathing

When I read this part I can imagine it. I love this type of writing where while you read it gives you images in your own head to make it life into the writing. Well done happy Halloween 🎃 to you 🤠
