I'm no God

black-and-white-g757fb5b0d_1920.jpg

Lonely, seated in the dark
Strange thoughts pondering my mind
Thoughts of good and not of evil
And yet I'm no God

Maybe God I could still be
Breathing in life being all it takes
Such simple task I tried to achieve
Yet my breath failed me

Perhaps I could create a destiny
Fancy, great and beautiful
Hard work being all I need
But Grace I couldn't find

Maybe I'm just a butterfly
Little, colourful and smart
Thinking I could achieve like a bird
Yet my wings fails me

Perhaps is time to wake up
Stop dreaming with an open eyes
Accept the reality before me
Because in truth, I'm no God

Thank you @sgarciacine. I'm very happy you like it, and it encourages me to do more.

What an interesting poem. Especially in the way in which all internal thought is expressed, where there is an illusion of a dream that in the end must end up falling into reality. Thank you so much for sharing it

Very nice poem, I love it, it is a very beautiful writing, I liked this part:

Perhaps is time to wake up
Stop dreaming with an open eyes
Accept the reality before me
Because in truth, I'm no God

I really appreciate the content, here. To me, it speaks to the experience of idealists realizing the limitations of their good intentions.
