Finally Doing It

board-4284009_960_720.jpg

You want to do it,
but you’re scared.
It’s something though
that must be done.
Your friends all rib you
for never even trying.
So today is the day
you will finally do it.
When it’s time,
will it be hard?
Will I really decide
to go in?
So you climb up.
Now you’re on top.
Still afraid
to do the deed.
Then you hear a voice
from down below.
She says, “Jump right in
you’re ready for this”.
It’s hot.
It’s wet.
It’s waiting for you.
That seems to be
the spark that you need.
So that’s what you do,
you jump right in.
Right into the pool
from the high dive.
Your first time.
Thanks to the lifeguard,
and her encouragement.

Great poem, usually we are always afraid of new beginnings but if we don't try we won't know what would have happened, but we should have more courage to face the unknown, great poem thanks for sharing it ♥

You did so well in this poem. Great choice of words. Weldone

Your poem made me think about something else, then at the end you were telling us about a swimming pool, I fell into your literary trap. Ha ha. Very well done, I was very amused by your poem.

Thanks for sharing your poem.
Good day.

Hopefully you will not be the only one that falls for it.
