Language changes fast, and the ways people get offended these days seems to be on the rise too.
When I visit America now, I actually feel more like English is my second language than my first because I’ve been living in a non-English speaking country for so long.
So much of language is about the culture behind it, and I’ve completely adapted to a different culture, so even though I speak the language, I don’t know how to navigate the situations and new technologies and burgeoning cultures, etc.
