There is so much danger in being close,
in narrowing the distance that separates us,
in giving in to the urgency that draws us closer
and burning our wings in this forge.
In the proximity of our bodies
burns the temptation of a forbidden fire,
where souls run the risk
of indulging in an unbridled delirium.
In the furtive caress of your skin
hides the risk of longing for more,
of desiring with unbridled ardor
what we should never owe.
In the warmth of your intense gaze
lurks the danger of succumbing
to an intense desire that does not condense,
to passions that can destroy.

You've inspired me to write more poems like this. I already enjoy writing Free Verse and this make me miss writing them. I think I've only done a few in the last 6 months. Not like yours though. Yours are making a point all the way through. Mine are deceiving.
