Chilling. There's something about the word choice you used, the flow from line to line gave me a sense of uneasiness, almost foreboding. Indifference is a sad state to live in, it's unfortunately the default for so many still "living" today.

I agree when you say that indifference is a status of life for many today, it is so sad to come to that conclusion and in this poem I try to reflect a bit of that reality seen from the point of view of a couple, I thank you for the comment. Greetings.
