Tallé tu nombre en la madera,
escogí árboles como el samán y la vera por su dureza,
rompí mis manos con el escoplo,
para dejar tu rostro en la eternidad de la naturaleza.
Con mi sangre pinté cada surco
y mis lágrimas limpiaron la corteza
de este amor ilimitado,
pero aun así el fuego borró el esfuerzo realizado.
Ahora destrozo las horas
tejiendo tu figura en un mar de alambre de cobre,
para dejar la dureza de este sentimiento,
enclavada en el tiempo.
Mi grito es un silencio persiguiendo su aliento,
una fuga de esta cárcel dónde los sueños me retienen,
no es posible borrar lo andado,
por eso voy en esta soledad,
barco seguro,
donde sigues en los dominios de mi corazón,
aunque tus brazos,
tus ojos,
tu piel,
se bañan de otra pasión.

Broken Feeling
I carved your name in wood,
I chose trees like saman and vera for their hardness.
I broke my hands with the chisel,
to leave your face in the eternity of nature.
With my blood I painted each furrow
and my tears wiped the bark
of this boundless love,
but still the fire erased the effort made.
Now I shatter the hours
weaving your figure in a sea of copper wire
to leave the hardness of this feeling
embedded in time.
My cry is a silence chasing your breath,
an escape from this prison where dreams hold me back,
it is not possible to erase what has been walked,
that's why I go in this solitude,
safe boat,
where you are still in the domain of my heart,
although your arms,
your eyes,
