RE: pausing to look back

Very well written poem. Photographic memory would be wonderful, but as I get a little older I struggle to remember as well as I would like. You made me think of a card I once read: Yes, I have a photographic memory, I'm just out of film.... Maybe that's the problem. lol

It sounds like you are making the best of having one more young one around. I miss having a kid that age, but don't know if I would have the energy to do it all again!

It’s definitely true that film is hard to find these days. 🤣 I think I just forget to take the cap of the lens too often because I’m in too much of a hurry going from one thing to the next. (Remember that problem? Ruining an entire batch of vacation photos because you never took the cap off the camera?)

Yeah, having a little one around is fun, but it does take a lot of time and energy. In some ways, it keeps you young, but in other ways, it makes you feel like you’ve gotten older.

Honestly, the hardest part, is balancing the different needs of each kid. It’s really hard to help the older kids do their homework or navigate their pissy moods because you don’t want them turning the TV on in front of the little when the toddler is having a meltdown.
