Baby Making Wine!

Hello fellow Wine Nerds! Hope you had a great holiday break, and ready for the New Year. I am going to make a small goal for myself to try more great wines. Just like this Pinot Noir from one of California's most famous vineyards, and probably thee most famous Pinot vineyard this side of Burgundy, Pisoni. Not quite the Pinot from Pisoni, but Capiaux really makes great use of Pisoni Grapes. But in reality, these grapes tell the winemaker what to do ;)

If I had to tell you what was the best Pinot I ever had, would say Pisoni all the way! I have been blesse with a few bottles over the years, and in fact made both of my babies on a Pisoni night. No lie. Since a good friend of mine works HR, I have told her this, and I hope it has made its way back to the Legend himself, Gary Pisoni. But I digress. This is a great wine! Better then any Premier Crus I have had, and would not be surprised to see this wine age just as well as any Gran Cru. Even at this young of an age, this wine had it all. Raspberry's, coffee, and even some vanilla, and it is usually hard for me to pinpoint these things. No babies where made with this Pisoni. But I would not mind a 3rd Pisoni baby, CHEERS!

Sort:

A third baby means less money to spend to good wine ;-)
Great article tempting me again to look for US Pinot Noir wine!

LOL that's so true! There are some great Pinot regions here. Maybe start off with Sonoma Coast. Or if you can find any Santa Lucia Highlands. Just stay away from the ones that just say California, CHEERS!

Found of californian pinots. Good memories about the Wine tasting trip in Napa Valley we took before the pandemic.

Napa is a place I need to visit soon.
