The impetus for Cub Club
I've intended to write a book/booklet/pamphlet/website titled "Bitcoin for Mortals." I've even stated it...more than once. Here is an introductory snippet:
Bitcoin has long been a mystery to me. It has seemed to be something that exists for others…for those God-gifted techies who breathe code. The folks who get it are not like we mortals. They reside up on Mt. Olympus as gods-of-code. It’s appropriate that the first big hack was up on Mt. Gox (I lost my account there too, no bitcoin thankfully).
The point is, bitcoin and cryptocurrency seem to be for special people, not the rest of us. Have you ever tried to explain bitcoin to someone new? It usually goes bad.
The purpose of this book is to attempt to explain bitcoin to mortal man and woman. We non-gods-of-code deserve a piece of the bitcoin pie too, right? I’ll attempt to explain things so dumbly, so slap-me-in-the-face straightforwardly, that the dullest of nitwits will get it. If you feel as though I’m talking down to you, then good. I’m hitting my mark.
After all, giants are felled by nipping at their ankles.
And now there is DeFi
If bitcoin was for those special non-mortals, DeFi is even more special and elite. DeFi takes bitcoin and cryptocurrency then wraps it inside of finance, and mathematics, and economics. Then it all is guised behind a mysterious veil of computer sorcery.
I can't see through all of those wrappings, guises, and veils. But, I do see Cub and it seems incredible. I also see people who are very adept at all things blockchain, and they I see them reporting having spent hours futzing, wiggling, asking, cursing, second-guessing, questioning, and then finally succeeding in getting things going in DeFi and with Cub.
My squirrel-brain tells me this: There's a learning curve with DeFi and it is daunting for we mortals.
So, Cub Club
Maybe, just maybe, we mortals can crowd-source this thing, aggregate info, and help one another figure it out.
